Five year 3 students have been offered overseas internship positions through the ASEAN Internship Scheme for Hong Kong Higher Education Students organised by The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore of the Government of HKSAR.
Miss Tang Yan Yin from the Department of Business Administration and Miss Chan Ka Yan from the Department of Sociology, have been offered internship positions by Cathay Pacific Airways in Singapore. Mr. Ip Sheung Ming and Mr. Woo Ho Cheung from the Department of Economics and Finance, have been offered internship positions by Asean University Network in Thailand, and Rainmaker Labs Private Limited in Singapore respectively. Miss Ho Pui Ying from the Department of Business Administration, has been offered an internship position by Raydar Corporation Pte Limited in Singapore.
The ASEAN Internship Scheme for Hong Kong Higher Education Students provides opportunities to university students of Hong Kong to take up internship in AESAN member countries; enable students to be exposed to the work of the relevant industries and operation of their respective Host Organisations, as well as the economic and socio-cultural environment of the host countries in ASEAN; and cultivate students as the “ambassadors” of Hong Kong in the respective host countries, and vice versa upon return to Hong Kong, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening ties between Hong Kong and ASEAN.
