Multisite International Summer Program in Indonesia (20-29 July 2023) BINUS University

 

Introduction

The Multisite International Summer Program, Journey to Sustainability, is offered by BINUS University in Indonesia. A total of 25 free-of-charge seats are offered for students from partner universities.

Eligibility

Highly motivated and open-minded undergraduate students from any major with good command of English

 

Submission of Application

  1. Submit your registration directly to BINUS University and inform HKSYU’s International Unit about your registration via the link by noon on 9 June 2023. International Unit will confirm with BINUS University about the nominations that afternoon.
  2. The personal statement in the registration form will serve as a basis for selecting students. BINUS University will notify the selected candidates via email on 13 June 2023
  3. If your application is successful, you will need to arrange and pay for a proper visa, air tickets, insurance, etc.

Education Bureau’s Scheme for Subsidy

Means-tested Subsidy

Those receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange for

  • Means-tested Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for the Post-Secondary Students (Means-tested SSEBR): With Indonesia as the destination and 10 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme on this summer school programme is HK$6,500

The amount for an eligible student is calculated by the approved level of student finance (in terms of percentage of full grant) to the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme.

Each student will be eligible for assistance under the Means-tested SSEBR twice throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received.

Non-means-tested Subsidy

All full-time and local undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Non-means-tested SSEBR. With Indonesia as the destination and 10 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme on this summer school programme is HK$1,950.

However, each student will only be eligible to receive once throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong.
