17 Sociology students participated in the Pukyong National University (PKNU) – Hong Kong Shue Yan Universtiy (HKSYU) International Summer School. The students were encouraged to use sociological and anthropological concepts to understand cultural differences and similarities. This international summer school was organised by the Contemporary China Research Center. HKSYU students and nine students of PKNU attended seminars and fieldtrips in Hong Kong on 14-20 July 2013 and in Korea on 21-27 July 2013. In Hong Kong, the PKNU students visited some traditional and cultural sites, e.g., Wong Tai Sin Temple, Hong Kong Museum of History. In Busan, the HKSYU students visited Gyengju (Historical heritage Site).
