Introduction

The University of Warwick is a world leading Russell Group University widely recognised as a leader in research and education. The Warwick Summer School (WSS) attracted students from over 62 different countries. You can discuss and debate issues with academics from top Warwick Departments, and learn from expert guest speakers and eminent public figures.

The on-site three-week summer school is one of the shortlisted summer programmes eligible for HKSYU’s credit-bearing Summer Abroad Scheme (GEC206).

Programme Fee   £2,380 + £50 non-refundable application fee
Accommodation Room only: £670 – £940

Bed and breakfast: £960 – £1,230

Half Board (breakfast and dinner, no lunch): £1,400 – £1,670

Submission of Application

  1. Check and ensure that you fulfil the entry and language requirements.
  2. Submit your applications to the University of Warwick Summer School by 31 May 2024.
  3. Fill out the online form of the International Unit for us to keep track of who has applied.
  4. The International Unit will assist you in preparing the official academic transcript, and brief you on issues related to summer programmes, but you are responsible for submitting your application to the programme organiser before the deadline, paying for the programme fee, arranging accommodation, securing a proper visa, purchasing air tickets and insurance (if applicable), etc.

Means-tested Subsidy

Students receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students (SSE) of the Education Bureau.With the United Kingdom as the destination and 3 weeks in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme for this summer school programme is HK$14,000. The amount for an eligible student is calculated by the approved level of student finance (in terms of percentage of full grant) to the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme. Please contact the International Unit to check your eligibility.

Each student will only be eligible for assistance under the SSE ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received. If you are eligible to apply for SSE please submit your Application Form.
