2024 PKNU International Summer School ━ Pukyong National University
Introduction
Pukyong National University (PKNU) invites you to learn about Korea and its unique culture through lectures and off-campus activities such as Korean Traditional Costume and Manner, Taekwondo, K-pop Dance, Cooking Korean Food, Making Traditional Korean Alcohol, Marine Sports in Busan, and Gamcheon Culture Village Tour.
This summer school is one of the shortlisted summer programmes eligible for HKSYU’s credit-bearing Summer Abroad Scheme (GEC206). Please note that credit transfer is NOT acceptable for summer programmes.

Submission of Application
- Email the application form, proof of insurance coverage, and Tuberculosis (TB) test result in English to HKSYU’s International Unit (studyabroad@hksyu.edu) by 2 May 2024.
- The International Unit will liaise with PKNU and send you the payment information in due course.
- Students should pay the fee to PKNU by 10 May 2024. Late payments will not be accepted.
- The International Unit will assist you in preparing the Academic Transcript and Proof of Student Registration, and brief you on issues related to summer programmes, but you are responsible for securing medical insurance coverage and submitting your tuberculosis test result in English by 2 May 2024, paying the programme fee by 10 May 2024, securing a proper visa (if applicable), purchasing air tickets, etc.

Means-tested Subsidy
Students receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities –
Each student will only be eligible for assistance under the Means-tested SSEBR TWICE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received. If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form. |
Non-means-tested Subsidy
All full-time and local undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities –
Each student will only be eligible to receive the Non-means-tested SSEBR ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong.
